Unable to create your city at this time. Please claim a city again later

Maybe it is just me but how is it a requirement to play online but when I first choose a server both servers on North America West are full but it shows all European servers available. But still can't create city. This is my first venture into the world of SimCity and at this point it will be my last.

I dunno guys. It's obvious we just didn't pay the extra low price of $200 for the "Actually Be Able to Play" DLC they decided to leave out of the game on launch. We are all clearly just not hip to the new "Fee to Pay, Always-On Stranglehold DRM" business model that is surely the bright future of the games industry.

Wow, looks like a great game. Would be nice if I could play it, you know, since I paid money for it. Other than that, great job, guys, keep up the good work.  You've got the bar set so low, I'm not even surprised this time.

I am so disappointed with this release. Forcing us to play online is the stupidest thing ever... what an absolute failure. Off to bed I go, seeing as I can't even play the new game I got.

1. i went through 6 servers till i got one that didnt force a inf tutorial loop

2. i get in spam claim land till it lets me

3. game was set in sandbox mode it forces me into standard mode.

4. game was set to private people are joining my region and refuse to **bleep**in leave

5. game crashes after 15mins of play after telling people to get out of my region and succefuly getting them out via kicking

6. start game back up city has not been saved in the server i was playing on

7. game will refuse to load back up untill i force close origin if i try playing a 3rd time in a row.

8. server i now played on and had a city with now does inf tutorial loop

9. lost all my cities i had on launch day that were saved on other servers now they are not there anymore.

10. thiers a que to log into a server for a game you payed for there shouldnt be a que dont let anymore people log into server and put up more servers

11. this should have been 30 dollars not 60 dollars if i have to have a log in que and im forced to play online with a faked single player

12. cities i had previously played before above issue would disapear from my region and wouldnt load back up

13. cities would force rollback cause of syncing issues

14. i want compensation for screwing up a game i payed hard earned money for if you dont i will be pressing charges for failure to provide a product as advertised which is law.

This pisses me off, they better patch this game quick so you can play offline at home, this is horrible.

Release a working game, or don't release.

Anticipate a crush of users, and have the servers for them or don't release at all. I've never played a sim city game before, but so far I think it's a hot steaming piece of crap. I can't even try anything, or claim a city or play at all.

So far not impressed, at all. $60 for a piece of crap game that doesn't work. That's just wonderful.

Maybe I should take the box and go shove it up EA's ass and then pour hot sauce in there eyes then spray them down with Bear spray.

under american law if a product you paid for is not provided as advertised you can sue for compensation. which i will be persuing. if they keep this up

Same problem here. They can take the online DRM BS and shove it and their POS game. It's not Simcity anyway, more like Simvillage.

I have requested a refund from Amazon.

EA/Maxis I hope you get hit hard for this fraudelent activity.
