Bug Report/Help - L2 and R2 Constantly Input

Did you end up finding a fix for this? Having the same issue

This issue is related to the controller connection. DirectInput has this issue. XInput works normally.

If you don't have a controller that uses XInput, I believe you can use an application for this.

Same issue here, playing on PC with PS5 controller through steam.
For me the game always shows PlayStation button prompts until I press something, then it switches to Xbox prompts. I also sometimes get random/phantom inputs.

Here’s what I tried that didn’t solve it:

* Disabled the extra Wireless Controller device in Device Manager (so only the Steam Input Xbox 360 wrapper shows).
* Used Steam’s per-game override forced “Enable Steam Input.”
* Toggled PlayStation Controller Support in Steam (both “always enabled” and “only in games without support”).
* Tried playing with just the Steam Input wrapper active (no duplicate device) → still flickers.

So it looks like Skate is still polling the DualSense as a raw DirectInput device at launch, even when Steam Input is providing XInput. That’s why it defaults to PS prompts until the first input comes through.

Any solution?

No solution for me yet, now moved to Steam with the same thing,

I did try raWASD, different controller profiles in Steam and no joy. This completely sucks! Unable to climb onto things and stay still to set markers, also makes it very hard to start challenges/shop circles etc without rolling on a board

Still have the issue with keyboar and mouse unplugged. I'm with xbox controller
