DIY builds can be deleted by other players due to the new build mechanics

I've spent hours working on gaps, just for other players to come in and place ramps on top of mine, then they delete their ramps which deletes mine too because of the new system that ensures every object has to have some kind of support. Some players literally are doing this on purpose to grief. 

Yes, I have my settings set so that no one can edit my builds, this new mechanic overrides that. 

The entire system that was added is rediculous, they're treating building (literally called DIY objects) like it's somehow a cheat in the game. Why add floating ramps that go nowhere just to remove the ability to have floating DIY ramps? It's killing creativity and also allowing for new methods for people to grief. Extremely frustrating.
