Features that feel missing pt. 1
Features that feel missing:
- Wear/scrapes on skateboard (deck, wheels, griptape, trucks) and shoes. [this feels like a big one]
After boardsliding, tailsliding or just a long skate session it would be cool if the board and griptape and our skater look a little roughed up - just like a real session would. Missing chunks of the board graphic or stickers after a a few board slides would really do a lot to make the game feel more grounded. something about looking at my perfectly unharmed board and character throws me off. (this could be extended to QDO's as well, a worn down hubba or manny pad, or petina'd flat rail from a day of wax and grinding would be so cool)
- Rock to Fakie/Rock and roll
This is a fundamental trick when learning skateboarding on a quarter pipe and it would be really cool if the devs spent the time to make a named trick, even if low point value, for this maneuver (essentially a lip stall, then a kick turn on a coping of a quarter pipe, or a stall then roll back over the coping for the rock to fakie).
- Skate with me (incense, shows on map that I am looking for others to join in my open world spot)
I know its a sore spot in the community that we can't play S-K-A-T-E, and I agree, but it would also be nice if we could simply entice other players to come and skate a spot, not restricted by a timer, but an area. (think, a group session marker) The marker would have an Icon like "street/vert" to indicate what kind of spot it is. As more skaters skate in the area the number above that marker goes up, this might promote players to hang out closer to one another and continue to hit the same spot w/ other skaters and improve their skill.
