Feedback, etc

This is just my own thoughts and ideas for the game. Some long term and some short term ideas, but overall I tried to remain unbiased to the overall player experience and not add things that were only niche to me. I hoep I did this at least. This is is not an exhaustive list and I might stop by to reply with more things. Is it pointless? Maybe, but honestly I like having a game like this. Its fun and enjoyable to me. It gives me mad nostalgia and I genuinely want it to get better and survive. So here it goes. In no particular order by the way. I just typed all the thoughts I have while playing. 

1. Mechanics. I personally feel, while the tweaks are certainly in order, this feels better than it ever has. I think the slow flick is fantastic. Hold is often quite silly but I actually really enjoy that as well. We do need to add more tricks that are missing however like tweaked hand plants, and dark slides, etc., but overall I think the core mechanics are pretty great. 
2. I love the core concept. I enjoy skating with people in a world like this. Its fun to teleport to someone and watch them do an insane line. I once sat for a good 5 mins watching some people trying to wall ride down a spiral they made. That is actually just enjoyable to me lol. Now the curse to that is we need things to do. I feel as though since the world itself is static and not changing constantly like say in Fortnite, we need regular competitions that spawn at different times throughout the day. These should be large events, say 24 or so skaters and the ability for others to  watch the competition. Not mandatory by no means but encourages people to actually compete together.  
3. I feel as though we need several things in regard to board customization. This is gonna be a bit harsh but its fair. I think having basic colors of decks and wheels behind those loot boxes is not good. It's actually quite bad. If a new person who knows nothing about this game franchise would want more than a wood board and non colored wheels. I also don't enjoy all these "colors" for ramps and other DIY pieces just for the sake of filling space for these boxes. It just feels quite slimy. If you must feel the space in those make different items. You cant expect players to care about unlocking these items if there is no reason to. I am only 60 hours in and I personally don't feel a need to even spend anything on these boxes. Lastly a card title for your profile is not worth the asking price in the last boxes of each category nor are the DIY pieces. The final builder box is just the same as the other 2 DIY boxes but just different colors and patterns, that is not worth 350 in game currency. I just don't know who would want to spend the time and effort to unlock all of this.  Unlocking the DIY pieces with in game currency is fine but its quite frustrating when I want or need a certain item  but I cant just unlock that piece on its own. Instead I have to go open however many loot boxes to unlock it and several times I have given up on doing the line entirely simply because of these barriers. As I said this section was gonna be harsh but I feel that it is fair, I am thinking about a new players' experience and older fans who are just over loot boxes in general. This model wont survive because you are locking out players from basic customization. 
4.  The replay editor needs fixing ASAP and not in December. It is the main way players will share content. It needs to be good, but this is known and on the road map so I will just briefly mention it. 
5. We need board lockers. I need to be able to save a board design and quickly switch to it. This also needs to happen with saved outfits. I like to switch boards and clothing items often, so for me a locker for both board setups and outfits would be great. 
6. In the same vein, is apartments. Now this is, to be very clear, something I want way later down the road. But eventually a place to customize and hang your boards on the wall would be sweet. 
7. We need the ability to create actual skate teams eventually. Bring back skate.create. Let us create again because that's always been the heart and soul of skate, creating. Skate teams, uploading clips, etc. was great and still would be. I understand we have the discord but not everyone uses discord or wants to join another server and I think that is fair. 
8. Lastly, just more skate culture. In the future I think we could have full on brand demos in san van. But it starts with this city. It is supposed to be built for skaters by skaters right. Please fix that lighting system. Some parts of the map are quite literally unplayable because either the lights are either too bright or too dark to see anything.
