Ever since the season 4 update, my game doesn't boot up anymore. It just either brings up the game loader before going to a black screen and then crashing. Or the same followed by a black screen that I have to hard reset my pc to get out of. I'm hoping there's a bug fix soon to solve this problem, or a solution.
Im having a similar issue when I try to start one of the event missions. Screen just goes black and I have to reset the game.
What are your specs? I made a post about this as well. Check your crashdump files and see what error you get, I'd like to see if you get the same error code is I do.

Ah ok, yeah, this seems to be a Sandy Bridge issue. Looking through the forums, people with Gen 2 and Gen 3 Intel chips (even Xeons from that era) are all being affected by this update.
Is there a solution to this? Will i have to get a newer chip or can this be fixed by the devs?
Open your file browser and go to %localappdata%\Skate\data (or just paste exactly that into the location bar) and delete everything in there except your Screenshots and Videos folders and then relaunch. That fixes loads of problems.
Appreciate the tip missMoshie! Unfortunately, clearing the cache data out of %localappdata% won't solve this specific startup crash.
The issue for anyone running an i7-2600 (or other Gen 2/Gen 3 Intel chips and Xeons from that era) is a hard instruction set limitation introduced with the Season 4 update. The new patch requires AVX2 support, which these older CPU architectures physically lack, resulting in an immediate illegal instruction crash (0xC000001D) at boot. It's a bummer, but it looks like Season 4 marks the end of the road for these legacy chips unless EA decides to roll back the optimization requirements.

There was another update, have you tried booting the game up again ?
My game crashes every time I launch it unless I have a separate window open in the foreground and allow SKATE. to load in the background. This, turning off XMP, and switching to EA APP are all things I've tried to avoid this issue personally. Good luck potnah.
I got a 9800x3d and a 5080 2tb ssd 64gb ram and my ish says some crazy stuff like "your gpu is destroyed or physically removed" xD
