No options menu while in challenges

I think this is supposed to be a feature not a bug, but it's very frustrating.

Some challenges require you to change settings just to do them, like some ledges can't be grinded without turning the grind assist to zero or it'll magnetize to a lower object. Sometimes you need to have grind assist on or you'll over jump the thing you're trying to grind. You don't really know what assists you might need until you're in the challenge...so if you need to change something you have to end the challenge before you can do that.

Also it feels like some of my assist settings just randomly turn themselves on without my input. Like I've never turned off the option to allow held flip tricks, but now when I need to hold one for a challenge I just do one kickflip/heelflip and then turn the board sideways.

Also, can 't even change graphics settings during a challenge. Extra frustrating because of the road textures disappearing sometimes.
