I've tried everything. Quitting Steam, rebooting my PC, exiting and relaunching the EA app, plugging the controllers in directly, unpairing and repairing controllers, etc.
I'm using an 8Bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth controller, I've tried it with the 2.4 Ghz dongle, plugged in via USB, and paired via Bluetooth. I've tried an Xbox 360 controller with USB dongle, nothing is working.
I found the issue, it's very frustrating. The game thinks that my Keychron gaming mouse is a controller. Unplugging it made it recognize the 8bitdo controller. Please fix this issue or allow controller selection!!!!
Hey, could eloborate a bit more how you fixed it. I also got a Keychron keyboard and 8BitDo Ultimate C2 but I can't get it to work.
I have Keychron keyboard also, can confirm the game wont recognize a controller when either the keyboard or the number pad is connected in any way, wired or BT. Just unplug/disconnect them and it works fine
I managed to fix it, the issue is indeed caused by Keychron but just turning off the keyboard didn't fix it for me. I had to remove the Keychron USB Dongle because this will deactivate the Keychron Link which makes the computer (or the game) think your controller is a keyboard.

I'm in the same exact boat. Keychron 2.4ghz USB dongle for my keyboard makes my wireless 8bitdo controller not be detected, even through steam input. Only way to get it work is to unplug the Keychron dongle.
I really hope the devs are able to be made aware of this. Is there still an official way to submit feedback/bugs/issues?
I'm using a 8Bitdo controller as well.
The game recognizes it but the button mappings are wrong, some buttons do nothing. The right stick doesn't work.
Not sure what to do.
Glad to see I'm not alone with this issue, but sad to see there's no real fix yet. Crazy coincidence the amount of people who have Keychron keyboards and 8bitdo controllers.
Can confirm the issue was also happening with my Keychron keyboard and an Xbox one controller, fix for me was also to unplug my Keychron dongle. Super weird, this was the only thread I found discussing it.
