Paywall bug?

The devs promised no pay walls but have it shows that there are bundles added monthly/weekly that are behind a paywall. Along with the season 3 features being locked behind a “early access” paywall. I would like to assume this is a mistake and the devs and management of this franchise are not lying to our faces and did not realize they did indeed create paywalls.
