Personal contructive Feedback
Skate 3 was a masterpiece. I'll be honest, it would be nearly impossible to duplicate that version of the game to move it into the space that Skate 3 has. Nostalgica and how games are at the moment just mean Skate 4 or “Skate.” will never fit into that space.
However, my feeling of “Skate.” is that it is not even trying to make the same masterpiece, but to use the brand and hype to create a game that will generate EA the money. Not that that is a problem.
My personal feedback that I would like to share to improve this game.
Design of the map. I feel like the map is built to be cosmetically “Nice”. However I feel like there is so much to improve. Sometimes I feel like there is just a lacklust when skating around. Loads of space that have nothing, Features that just do not skate well at all. Lines that start great and end nowhere. Pretty much no matter where you go on the map it feels the same.
Transfers. I understand this is early access and this could be looked at over the coming updates. Transfers are so fun, it is so hard to link up ramps in the air. Skate 3 had this down nearly perfectly. But “Skate.” is just missing so much, where i make air and try to push through to land on the other side of a spine or transfer over a box and just land flat every time. Makes the flow of the game slow and not that “Stezzy” lines feel “Short”. This can also link to point 1 where the map design is clunky and “Samey”.
I miss the pro Skater interaction. I Know this might be something that is far fetched in this new game but it made the game more personally enjoyable. Instead of speaking with an AI.
The game feels like a grind for points for skins and no other real goals. Skate 3 had so much to do, fun map, games, jams etc etc and such a small focus on the skins and more the game. “Skate.” feels the opposite. Everything focuses on cosmetics and less about the game. Making cool lines, not just trick spamming.
Please please please add mini games like S.K.A.T.E and 1UP. These features would make so much of an improvement for a multiplayer experience.
Please Hire me, I'll make this game of the year 🙂. So much passion for this game to be the best. Lol
