Please Bring the REAL (not corporate) Culture Back

Man… I get it, it’s early access. I really do. But **bleep**, this already leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. I know games can turn it around (No Man’s Sky did it), but that took years of genuine back-and-forth with the community. Right now Skate just feels… hollow. It’s got no soul. All the skater lingo is gone, and the only thing I hear on loop is “skater eyes.” That’s it. It feels so off, especially for someone who’s played all the old Skate games. The vibe now? Feels like a mobile game. And bro… 10 dollars for a pair of shoes? Not even a whole fit. Just shoes. The game isn’t even out yet, and it already feels like the focus is less about building something special and more about squeezing money. What made Skate awesome was the grit. Falling and scraping yourself up, dirt on your clothes, cops or security chasing you, grabbing onto cars, playing actual SKATE with your friends. There was culture, there was risk, there was life. Now it’s just a robot or some voice telling me “wow, so GOAT, your skater eyes are goated.” I cringed so hard in the first 10 minutes I had to turn that off. I really want this game to be good. I want to love it. But right now? It just feels soulless, and that sucks.
