Private servers?

at first I was all in on wanting private servers but I'm on the fence now.  part of me would love to have a community server emphasizing on realistic skating or a server for players who want to do just crazy stuff but I feel like as time goes on I've realized the beauty of skate is you got all different play styles thrown into one server and I do enjoy skating around and seeing other players, it makes the world feel live.  I'm worried if we had private servers it's going to split the community up.  both have their pros and cons 

They don't contradict eachother. You would still need to be online to access the private server, and could have other people play with you whereas an offline mode would disconnect you from other players altogether.
