Skate. 2025 feedback
I didn’t play Skate 1 or Skate 2, but I’ve played Skate 3 for around seven years before picking up this game — and honestly, the gameplay itself feels great. The controls are fluid, and the animations look smooth and responsive. It really captures that satisfying feel of skating.
That said, one of my biggest issues — and something I’ve seen a lot of other players mention — is the art direction and the shop system. The graphics and item shop feel like they’re heavily inspired by Fortnite, and in my opinion, that style just doesn’t fit the Skate franchise. It could work well in a different EA title, but it feels out of place here.
Customization is another area that could use improvement. The tattoo options are lacking, and most of the free box rewards aren’t very exciting. I’d love to see more brand collaborations, better gear designs, and more variety overall.
Lastly, multiplayer gamemodes. Without them, the game can get stale — at some point, I'm simply skating or goofing off doing random "meme" type stuff. Adding in new modes or events would genuinely make the game feel like it's still new and exciting.
Overall, it's a good game with a solid foundation, but it certainly could use improved customization, more compelling content, and a better sense of Skate's former identity.
