The issues that I'm having have brought me to the brink of insanity.
Instead of complaining, I'm just going to list the issues I have and pray to God that somebody has a solution. FPS usually locked to 30 until I switch the Global Graphics preset to Ultra. After I manage to unlock my FPS, there is insane input lag and frame drops, even on low settings. Animations in-game look like they're in slow-mo. Can't set refresh rate higher than 119hz on native resolution (2560x1440), but can set it to a wide range of options at a lower resolution. I've been trying to fix this BS for hours at this point, please help me. I'll attach a short video showcasing the bugs. (Also, my brother with a completely identical computer, monitor, and settings has absolutely zero issues). Specs: Geforce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU Intel i5 8GB RAM ~120GB free storage
Gameplay fun, Optimization TERRIBLE
I spent about 3-4 hours getting this game to behave with my CPU because I love the skate series and refused to not play it because it was initially making my CPU constantly under load at 100c. I have a decent gaming rig, RTX 3070 Ti, i7-13700k, 3200 mhz 32gb DDR4, 240mm AIO on CPU. I literally had to go into my bios and change the PL1 and PL2 on my CPU from 240W to 125W and turn off Intel Adaptive Boost Technology. This still did not fix the issue, this game has serious FPS uncapped leakage as if you tab out of the game it will override and FPS settings you tried to cap it at in NVIDIA control panel and go back to uncapped. The only way to fix this was to use RTSS and set the game hard capped to 60 fps, with vsync on in the NVIDIA control panel to get rid of any screen tearing. After doing all of this I was finally able to get stable CPU temps with occasional peaks of 95c. Something needs to be fixed with the FPS in this game as it will eat up your CPU if not manually overridden using RTSSThis game is so sick.
I absolutely love how every time there is an update, I have to redownload the game, remake my character, lose all of my prog, and get forced into a tutorial for a game that I've been playing since I was 12. Its so fun and in no way making me never want to touch this game ever again.Simple feedback. The gameplay design is all wrong.
Its wrong, so wrong. Here's some reasons why. The map is horrible, some challenges have a tree right in the middle of the platform that is lit up in fluorescent yellow, why I'm not sure, they think we're stupid maybe. Or maybe its trying to please everyone so even people with bad eye can play this bad game. The climbing and parkour can be fun but they're not needed, we need better board stability and the speed of just about everything needs increasing, let us change the truck tightness and how hard the wheels are, I think it needs better map or a lot of the spots need to be designed better, some parts do not fit in and get in the way. It needs an incentive to keep you playing otherwise you're just grinding out spots until you get one you can't 100% do because its designed so poorly, you don't have to 100% it but this is a Skating game, you want to. I want some type of story, or you make a Skate magazine and other people join it, like a crew, making people work together or battle within the magazine, creating highlights that are voted on monthly or weekly between crews for cool rewards. The look of the game isn't good enough, I understand they tried to make a game that doesn't require anything high-end, I respect that, but it doesn't look good, especially (ill mention it again) the fluorescent yellow to tell you where to trick, the blue lines and arrows were good from Skate 3. I won't talk about the issues with it always being online, we all know the how bad this can be, same with microtransactions and it being a free to play, I would prefer to spend 50-60 $/£ and get a complete game, but it is what it is. Positives are that it can be fun at times and it's fun to play with friends, some of the clothes and boards, trucks, and wheels look nice. The fact PS4 can play with PS5 and Xbox One with Xbox Series is great, more games should do this if they're going to make low effort art styled multiplayer games. If you're going to use an AI voiceover, please give us options for voices. This has taken the place of what would have been Skate 4 which disappoints me, but ultimately I thank EA for keeping Skate 3 servers online!Skate early access feedback
Hello! So far I’ve played for about 5-6 hours straight since early access launched and it finished downloading. Currently I’m at level 5 for hedgemont and level 1 for gullcrest. I know this is going to be worked on over time but I’d really like to see more clothing and customization options; for example in skate 3 we could customize our own clothing to have custom colors based on the cmyk scale built in with the games character creator, and I think that would be awesome to bring back. Another thing is that I’d like to see more hair colors and maybe eye colors? If the game’s gonna be goofy and ridiculous anyways then why not have some fun eye and hair colors? Also id love to have some goth clothing options or maybe some free banners with pride flags so that players can express themselves and celebrate how they identify. Also please add more grip tape colors and designs, and maybe allow us to have free placement over the stickers on our boards, it would be really cool to try and remake my real life board where I have an enjoi sticker under my trucks or along the edges. I’ve been liking the game so far but I’m hoping the environment will be a little grittier over time, maybe some trashed street grates or dumpsters to grind and trick over. There are so many things I’d love for you guys to add but this probably won’t be seen by the developers but I’m pleading and begging with all my heart, please please if someone does see this and can add at least one idea over time, more customization and shirt options for each piece if possible like button downs, flannels, more skirt and shorts options, more socks, hoodies with adjustable hoods like in skate 3, and maybe more crop tops or tied shirts? I really want my skater to look like a skater and not just a girl that waltzed out of a really poorly stocked zumiez store. Anyway… thank you for making skate. At first I was skeptical but it’s really fun once you give it a shot, the core gameplay has felt pretty good but some challenges are **bleep** near impossible. TLDR: please add more clothing and customization options + colors and styles, and please adjust the geometry collision physics for some larger sky dive drop in challenges. Thank you Skate. Definitely not what I was expecting. Feels different than the first 3 skates. It has a lot of potential. I noticed Dark-slide trick was removed I really enjoyed that and the coffin, could do some pretty rad tricks with both of those. Grabbing cars or any vehicle while skating was such a favourite of mine. Really sick way to traverse. Wear and tare of the environment and boards was really awesome too having the deck and grip tape get scratched up just gave that real skate culture experience & made the game unique. Hall of meat with all the building and cranes and heights to fall off of with the new roll and flip add on. Really surprised the hall of meat isn’t already in the game. Would be cool to see especially with the change of art style and graphics would be so cool to see. I noticed while skating around I’d have trouble getting onto certain rails or ledges which should be easy to grind considering the board can go high enough. Found myself having a half decent run then all of a sudden my board would clip a bush or something minor and then I would bail. Acid drops from super high places and my characters legs give out don’t remember the off board skates before ever having difficulty dropping and landing from unbelievable spots to be an issue. It’s a video game meant to be fun if I wanna drop off a building and land on my board would be nice for the character to stay on the board. Just makes for some really sick runs. Considering it is early access, it has been very buggy can’t go into my settings at all. I’m still stuck on opening the item shop have been since launch. It won’t let me proceed past that says missions and the store are locked. I was unable to join my friend’s game after multiple invites. I’m a huge fan of all the skates before especially 2 & 3 I really hope these suggestions from all the day one fans will be considered and improved. I’d hate to not enjoy playing one of my all time favourite franchises. Good to be back! Thanks so much for all the memories here’s to many more in the next coming years.

i think the skate 1 camera is a bit lower and more "filmer" esque. not sure about 2 and 3. but maybe, if youre gonna flood us with an overwhelming amount of settings, give us one with not just adjust horizontal camera offset, but vertical as well. so we can have the camera closer to the board but without compromising gameplay view overall. thank you.
Skate needs an serious change
Let me start by saying I want the old Skate back like the skate 3 we all know along with Skate 4 or now known as just Skate. The graphics look like they're from out of a Disney wannabe video game and its annoying to hear that A.I. speak even the soundtrack doesn't fit add new different more popular Skateboarding music if I knew the Skate. Developers were gonna do a fortnite collab you should've just told them or water down my Skateboard mug with a more sensitive kid friendly saints row I wouldn't have downloaded this godforsaken reboot of a whole game no one cares or wants skins you gotta put money into to get certain clothes I'd rather have the skate 3 style where I get a whole completely different style by changing the size of my jeans, T-Shirt, hat, and Hoodie wheres that at instead what do I get a loot crate rewards from doing missions to buy more mystery boxes that's a dumb idea you guys watered down Skate 4 next you think about doing a reboot of something just do a remaster like everyone else and improve graphics and gameplay with no DLC here and there just make 2 or 3 DLCS like dead Island 2 and Skate 3 then you'll make more money until then do better
