Spot battles & Park Editor - HUGE missed opportunities
This game is really tough to spend a lot of time in.
I know it's early access but I feel like the team completely missed all of the key aspects of the skate 3 game gave it so much longevity. For me those are 2 key elements:
1) Formal Spot Battles lobbies with scoring and winners.
This provided anchor locations everyone could go to and was/is SUCH a missed opportunity with all of the technology improvements since Skate 3.
I figured it would be obvious and expected small formal battles where people could participate, spectate or even vote for winners in addition to the normal scoring.
Also even larger planned tournaments or formal events with some sort of ranking system for people to compete on a larger more significant level with perhaps some sort of leaderboard.
2) Park Editor and shared parks
This was HUGE in Skate 3. So many amazing parks were created and shared by the community before it was shutdown. I 100000% thought we'd see a bigger and better Skate park editor & marketplace but so far all I see is this super weak "Community Park" thing that resets every 24 hours.
My $0.02. Game is not sticky.
Hopefully this stuff is planned but just not implemented yet.
