Story challenge design is woefully lazy

I'm at the part which seems to be taking you to each region to for example "Complete 15 Challenge Goals in Gullcrest" / "Complete 15 Challenge Goals in Market Mile" / etc

And those 15 challenges are... challenges that I've already done multiple times already for earlier parts of the game that also require to complete random repeated challenges.

And after doing those 15 challenge it's, "Now get 50,000 points and do 25 tricks in Gullcrest / Market Mile / etc". Oh wow yet another "score some points and do a grind" challenge.

Is this seriously it?

Compare with prior EA skate games from up to 20 years ago.

    • Shoot a photo (and choose the best photo)
    • Record a line
    • Make a tape
    • Challenge a pro
    • Have a race
    • Enter a competition
    • Earn in-game money
    • Buy realistic skateboard/clothing  using in-game money that was earned through progression.

    Compared to Skate 4:

    • Get some points
    • Do a grind
    • Oh and don't forget to collect arbitrarily placed bearings along the way
    • 'Spread Eagle' from a skyscraper
    • Spend $25 (real money) to give your character a mohawk.

    Is this... seriously it?
