Stuck loading while waiting for challenge

Seems like an inconsistent issue where frequently when I start a challenge solo I get stuck for about two minutes with the message "Waiting for players". Meanwhile Vee chirps at me telling me to move when I can't do anything. I can't back out of the challenge, all I can do is send chats. Tried spamming a bunch of things, the only thing I can do is wait though. Restarted my game twice and am still getting this issue. Doesn't seem associated with any specific challenge. It does seem like sometimes if I try spamming my push button while the screen is still black it doesn't get stuck, but this doesn't always work.

    Having the same issue myself, does it allow you to do the challenge after a little wait? Mine just never lets me through and I have to restart my game every time it happens.

    I. Get this same thing but no message the hud just dissapears and I just get stuck free roaming with no objectives or challenges in the top left popping up

    Yeah, I wait between2-4 minutes and it loads. If the login queue for restarting the game didn't take so long I'd just do that but I've found it eventually lets me go. I'll usually just scroll through skatepedia waiting because I'll get the audio from Vee to go once it finally starts

    Mine's a little different, I can't roam or move at all. I have to sit there stuck and there's no way to back out of the challenge or even get to the start menu

    It's also happening for every challenge now. Waiting for several minutes unable to move or do anything and spamming square like I was doesn't do anything anymore. Totally random.

    Update: waited 8 minutes after starting a challenge. Has to restart my game. Then waited another 11 minutes to join into the game again. This only happens when running solo challenges, I haven't experienced this in co-op. It is almost every single challenge now and it's ridiculous - I spend more time waiting to load for things than actually playing the game.

    I have tried skipping steps individually, I've tried skipping all at once, I've tried letting Vee explain the whole challenge, I've tried spamming buttons before or hitting nothing. Nothing helps and it's extremely annoying.
