Feedback after beating the all the VR missions.

The early access version of the game has sparked some lol moments and some positive shock. like being able to no comply and boneless off a wall for example. very cool. well done to the team. That said, I see why it's early access at this point. What I would hope to see addressed is listed below. 

Notes on AI: it's a lot of AI. the voice over work, the music, the dialogue. I hope the quality will improve. the music is very repetitive, the VR themed voice is painful to listen to after a couple hours of gameplay and there should be a sensitivity that many people playing this would have lost their jobs or are about to because of AI. I think AI is fine, good on paper, helps put more content in the game but my note here would be there might be too much AI feel.

The important stuff

  • Explain that nollies are only capable with certain control modes at the start of the game.
  • Explain how to undo their teleport
  • Explain how momentum works in general but also more specifically in half pipes if it's even working properly. I can't maintain height in half pipes.
  • Explain how to control flip speed in regards to holding flip tricks, sometimes your max is 2, regardless of height
  • Explain how to dismount a grind
  • Explain how to change stance in a grind both with an ollie and by simply rotating
  • Explain how to ollie off in a direction of choice when grinding
  • Explain a lot of this earlier in the mission order/ game (I completed all VR missions)
  • Allow us to toggle/ turn off the street view UI for missions in our radial menu. Some missions are hiding rails and things we want to skate on
  • Add an option to disable slow-to-stop/ tail-stop while performing manuals or just disable what ever is causing that. manuals should not slow you down more than riding, right now it does.
  • On PC hide the mouse at all times until the user clicks, moves mouse or something
  • Allow the user to change settings while in a challenge
  • Remember item selection position when in store. right now you have to navigate back to a specific box after every time you open one.

I hope you'll also:

  • Add skitching
  • Change the board summon to a kick up off the ground, or add animations for this in those boxes
  • Allow us to favorite tricks in the skatepedia for quick reference, with a toggle to filter out the rest or something
  • Allow the user to claim music while climbing
  • Will some form of voice chat exist in game? ie for party or something
  • I would also hope that no complies become easier to perform. using the thumb to press a button and then immediately flip a stick is too unreliable at least in the timing that is needed now.
  • Parachutes would be nice too, or some way to land from one of those huge falls, so I don't need to waste time in a ragdoll animation, bounce, get up, summon board and go.
  • Name/ call one foot ollies for what they are, ollie north or ollie south so we can find them when we want.
  • Add more emotes that perform well while in ragdoll on the ground, right now you can wave your arms while on your back like you would if you completed a trick and then laid out flat on the floor from exhaustion in real life. maybe add a quick animation setting that does that, you hit the button pop your board and collapse in celebration. I'd understand if this isn't the game for that full sequence though.

Again this list is based off many years of gaming, skateboard gaming, skateboarding and spending something like 15 hours of in game time and completing the purple VR missions which explain the game.
