This is not Skate. It’s a parkour game where you can ride a skateboard.

Coming from a lifelong Skate fan (1,2 &3). This game is nothing like what those games were, and I know “this isn’t a continuation” of the Skate series, it clearly was supposed to be.

The characters, art style, challenges and map are all pretty gentrified and terrible.  The map is so incredibly small, and is full of way too many buildings that’s are a waste of space.  All of the real “spots” are way too close together.

Also what happened to promoting real skaters in these games???? Why would you use Sean Malto’s voice and rename him as shingo, same goes for David Gravette.  Also Vee sucks - totally subjective but she sucks.  She is so annoying and it’s insufferable.

Overall it’s just a game for people to have fun and skate around, I understand that, and it does a good job of that for most people. But after waiting 15 years for the newest version of my favorite game series of all time, I am extremely disappointed.

I really hope that EA is telling the truth when they say this isn’t Skate 4 - and I pray that they actually make something good for the next one.
