Tix disappeared at end of season

So last season's pass....left something to be desired. So I did what any reasonable person would do....continues my daily a d doing the challenges because the game is/was enjoyable. Log in to check out season 3 and all 63,000 tix are gone.... is this normal or a glitch

  • Hey there,

This is working as intended, as we mentioned in our Dev Update: Auto-Exchange System Blog

Here is a brief explanation of it:

What’s changing (aka. the important stuff, read me)

Starting with the end of Season 2 and going forward, Tix will not roll over from season to season - this includes earned Tix, and those purchased with SVB. Like most games with seasonal currencies, that means you’ll need to spend your Tix in the season you’ve earned them, starting now with Season 2.

But, we get it, you have a life - and your Tix shouldn’t disappear into the void if you’re busy living it on the day a new season starts. If you still have Tix at the end of a season, the game will auto-exchange items for you by utilizing those leftover Tix, aiming to get you as much value as possible. There’s still about a month left until that happens, so you still have plenty of time to spend your Tix however you choose.

The short answer is that they removed all your Tix. It's not a glitch or bug, it's the intended behaviour.

Originally the issue was that the Season was very long and the pass had very few items to purchase, so anyone who did Tasks with any regularity throughout the season would end up with tens of thousands of Tix and nothing to spend them on. They decided that at the end of a season they would remove a percentage of everyone's Tix (they never said what portion, or why). That didn't solve anything or address any of the issues. They said they didn't want to waste players time and so the next solution they decided on was to simply erase all the Tix everyone has at the end of the season, explicitly wasting any time or effort spent to acquire them in the first place. They added the functionality that if there was anything left in the Pass that a player didn't buy (almost assuredly because they didn't want those things) then your Tix would be spent on all those worthless and annoying cluttering items and then the remainder would be removed.

For them to remove something that took multiple days to earn is a slap to my face. What's the point of having to do tasks, only for them to be taken away? Yeah, I suppose we had too many tickets, but at least cap it or add more things. I'm not playing your time-wasting game. EA again sucks...

the next thing those people just lie about, it is disgusting.

they always said that you still have a part of the tix. i got like 15k and after that i now got like 300 or so.
    absolutely disgusting behaviour.

and it is so sickening they burry this pretty good developed game (the skate sim is dope) under this bs marketing decisions.

With each decision they make, they're destroying their game. From an all-time peak of 134,901 players to merely 4000 (on Steam). If they keep up with their bs and shenanigans, THIS GAME WILL DIE pretty soon.

After completing the seasonal store, I had around 15k Tix at the end of Season 2. Now back to 0 points. No explanation, nothing. I remember when Season 2 started, you got to keep and manage your Tix freely. With that in mind, I kept on doing these challenges so that I could have extra points at the start of Season 3. As per usual, they start making these horrible changes and screw all the progress made and disregard the time spent.

The funny thing is they tell you all about the Darkslides and Dark catches but they omit telling you the whole picture. "Pay 1000 SVB if you want to access the tutorial area."  THE TUTORIAL AREA. Nobody said that in the community notes leading up to Season 3. They just announced we would get that isle in Season 3.

They changed the whole shop UI and the task UI, and they added silly sound effects to everything. WTF??? Is this Skate or Fortnite???

Dude, I'm fed up with their nasty EA schemes. First they put on a friendly face to sell you on the idea of a Games-as-a-Service version of Skate and then they end up stabbing you.  Don't get me started on the style, tone and coloring of this game...

I think I'm going back to Skate 3. THAT WAS PEAK. THAT WAS SKATE. Not this sorry excuse for a videogame.

  • I and many others have tried to fight for that decision to be reverted. I logged in yesterday, seen my Tix were 0, logged off. Absolute BS bro. I had over 40k Tix saved up. I understand they don't want people to rush through stuff and that's probably why they did it. However, I bought Tix and Grinded Tix everyday and throughout the season in Season 2. I made effort to do every Tix challenge in CO-OP as well. Now.. I am just praying for the downfall of the game. I give up trying to be positive, I give up on being consistent. It's obvious our time is not respected, nor is the money we spend. I maxed out and completed Season 1 and 2, so my Tix had nothing to be exchanged for, so they literally just poofed for 0 reason. This is absolution of greed and disrespect. I don't blame Full Circle, this HAS to be the EA suits behind it. Our time, money, consistency, and loyalty DO NOT matter. The Tix Situation has made that abundantly clear.

Stop playing until it dies or they realize their failures and mistakes. Make them learn. That's my only suggestion. Let them reach only a few hundred players, and realize their wrong doings. Stop accepting the lies and abnormal persistency they have with Co-Op play and manipulations of mediocrity.

Spend your time and money elswhere. Where it's actually appreciated. Plenty of games out there, even other EA titles are treated more fairly (shocking, I know) than skate. Has been.

  • Still a fan of the game despite this, but buying into the season updates and losing 15k tix is a bunch of crap. I'm an old geezer so forgive me if I'm using outdated terminology, but is this just a fancy "freemium" game now? Answers on a postcard to...

  • Had my 5000+ tickets removed for no reason after i spent 25$ on a season pass and currency. And they want me to spend more more to get more or i gotta grind for hours all over again which completely takes the fun out the game.  Great way to destroy your player base. Makes no sense whatsoever its like someone is deliberately trying to destroy the game. Wouldnt they want people to stick around, they're literally selling you air.

Honestly i need my MFn tickets and some compensation on top of that back this some pure BS they disrespected our time.

They gotta make that right, it literally costs them nothing to do so. So if they cant even do that. Well that shows you how they see you
