Trying to buy items from product boxes while on Grom

While on the Isle of Grom, there’s additional product boxes available for Hedgemont, Gullcrest, and Market Mile in the store. These new boxes aren’t labeled with a level number and are not visible while on the San Van map.

The issue is when trying to open a box, (or 5) a message states “Insufficient Funds” despite having plenty of rip chips available.

Has anyone noticed this? Is there a workaround to open the boxes? I’m liking the new items but can’t figure out how to get them.
