Unauthorized Grim Skin Purchase Before I Even Entered the Game
I am seeking assistance regarding an unauthorized purchase that occurred in Skate.
I launched the game and was on the “Press A to Continue” screen. As the game was loading, I was pressing A to move through the startup screens and enter the game. During this process, the game displayed a black screen. Believing the game was still loading, I continued pressing A.
Without entering the store, without browsing items, and without selecting any item for purchase, I suddenly received a notification that the Grim skin had been purchased and thousands of SV Bucks had been deducted from my account.
I had not even reached the game’s menus yet, let alone opened the shop. The first time I saw the Grim skin was after the purchase had already been completed. I never knowingly authorized this transaction and never intended to spend my SV Bucks on this item.
At the beginning of Season 4, I purchased the Dim Bones Pack and had been saving those SV Bucks to spend throughout the season. Before this unauthorized purchase occurred, I had around 3,000 SV Bucks on my account. After the transaction, I was left with roughly 1,000 SV Bucks and a skin that I have no interest in using.
If I had intentionally decided to spend over 2,000 SV Bucks, there are many other items currently available that I would have chosen instead. The Grim skin is not something I would have purchased.
I contacted EA Help regarding this issue and explained exactly what happened. Unfortunately, I was told that in-game purchases are non-refundable and that there was no way to reverse the transaction. What I find frustrating is that this was not a normal purchase made through the store. I was not shopping, I was not browsing cosmetics, and I had not even entered the game yet when the purchase occurred.
As a customer, it doesn’t feel right that an unauthorized purchase can happen during a black screen before reaching the game and there is apparently no way to have it reviewed or corrected. I am not asking for free currency or a cash refund. I am simply asking for the Grim skin to be removed and the SV Bucks returned to my account This happend less than 24 hours ago from this post I started EA help as soon as it happend.
Has anyone else experienced this issue, or can a member of the Skate team please review this situation?
