All Hero & Villain ability interactions bugged

What is your issue related to? General
Summarize your bug Since the December update the ability interactions of all hero’s & villains are bugged. I previously submitted a report (with video) of Kylo Ren’s “pull” ability but it’s all abilities.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play ANY game mode using a hero or villain character; have the hero or villain interact with another hero or villain using one of their abilities.
What happens when the bug occurs? The triggered ability fails to properly register on the target or fails to properly respond. Below is a list of abilities bugs I have personally witnessed over the last two weeks.
What do you expect to see? The ability interactions need to be smoothed out.

I have noticed bugs with ability interactions throughout the history of this game; but after the most recent update those bugs have gotten FAR worse. Below is a

list of intermittent ability register bugs that are occurring with some degree of regularity:

Kylo Ren’s “pull” or “freeze” ability will register either damage or the white “X” indicating the ability was applied, however, the target will be physically unaffected.

Kylo Ren’s “frenzy” ability will result in Kylo being flung vertically up into the air upon leaping, resulting in a loss of ability. 

Annakin will get stuck in the charging animation for “heroic might”, being unable to release the ability until it’s full charge, however, full damage is being done to Annakin. 

Annakin will intermittently lose his ability to strike with his light saber resulting in Annakin either having to be killed or respawn. 

Darth Vader is able to be knocked back with Chewbacca’s “ground slam” or Han Solos “shoulder charge” or “detonate charge” ability while performing his “force choke” even though he’s supposed to be immune to knock backs for the duration of that ability. 

Genera Grevious can activate “unrelenting advance” AFTER being caught in Annakins “retribution”, enabling Grevious to damage Annakin to death while in the “retribution” animation. 

Darth Maul can activate his “furious throw” ability while in the AOE of a hero’s ability that has already been triggered such as Annakin’s “pull dominance” or Luke’s “repulse”; resulting in Maul being unaffected by the hero ability, the hero being thrown, & the hero’s ability not being refunded (probably because the ability recognized a “register” even though it didn’t have an effect). 

Kylo Ren’s “frenzy” does NOT break (not bypass) blocks on its third and final strike against any hero. I have not seen a patch note stating that this aspect was removed so I’m including this as a “bug”. 

Count Duku’s “lightning stun” will be used against a hero who is blocking and the lightning animation will trigger BEHIND the hero, stunning and knocking back the hero even though Duku was in front of them. 

Genera Grevious’s “thrust surge” ability will maneuver around obstacles to hit its target. 

ALL hero & villain knock back / pull abilities used on a player create MAJOR back & forth rag doll animations making it impossible to determine where your character will land on the map; the rag-dolling ends with the players opponents striking them; taking advantage of the rag doll bugs. 

Maps with significant elevation changes such as Fellucia or Geonosis interfere with abilities registering on opponents, even when the reticle is properly on the target character. 

There is now a degree of visual stutter among hero & villain characters when multiple characters are interacting together in close proximity; the stutter causes characters to glitch around and makes ability recognition and saber strike recognition an absolute mess.  

Troopers are suffering from shot / aim drift; especially Heavy & Assault classes firing at medium to longer ranges. (I have adjusted the dead zone setting and still have the issue <Xbox One S>) 

Artillery vehicles aim reticle is off; the user has to aim the target reticle significantly BELOW the intended target in order for shots to register. 

These are the most recurring issues I’m seeing; again I’m experiencing these on the Xbox One S, hardwired internet connection with the console behind a DMZ and an average console internet test of 260mbps DL / 65 mbps UL & 0% packet loss. I’m not experiencing issues with other games and the bugs I’ve stated above either became worse or developed after the last update.

    Awful awful example as its super laggy. I'll have to find the example I mentioned in the previous comment, I know I saved the clip.

    Here is my push not registering. After reviewing the timing though, and the push AOE, Dooku was definitely in range and should have been effected. You even see him get highlighted, but he is unaffected: because hes spamming maybe?

    Lag aside, this is how it always pans out. Sometimes they don't even get highlighted, but they are clearly in range, yet don't get pushed.

  • @VetteC5RX I don't wanna believe in a conspiracy............. but when I used my lvl 14 GG in a match I immediately got a 4 player kill streak. Yoda on the other hand is clearly clouded by the dark side.

    I wouldn’t call it a conspiracy per se ... it’s a game mechanic change the developers put into the game and conveniently didn’t include in the patch notes ...

    and for good reason, players would FLIP!

    if I hadn’t done some of the specific observations I have done with friends I knew didn’t play the game much I wouldn’t have been able to determine that a pattern exists. 

    this isn’t the first time an EA title has employed such a tactic; it’s been seen in various FIFA titles, Madden titles, Anthem, and others ..

    this has been an EA tactic in the past and players were upset about those too.

    Yes, I’ve experienced the exact same thing but with Luke.

    within the same match it wouldn’t expose lower players to being “knocked out of combat” when I attempted to push them off of Kessel. 

    the game either ignored the knock back or if it did register you saw the opponent stop at the edge of the map and fall to the ground. 

    In your video example GG wasn’t blocking and yet the unleash ability had zero effect on him. 

    I have similar issues with Kylos freeze & pull ... the game will regularly leave one hero character unfrozen if I get a group of them together. 

  • I saw a stream last night where the Anakin was invincible to any abilities or saber strikes. It was on the ps4 so don't think it was a hack but the only thing that could hit him was a Boba Fett. He was a low level player aswell and maybe what you're saying about this buff to lower levels makes sense and it bugged out for this Anakin and made him invincible haha. If it's a new glitch then be prepared to face Anakins more O.P than his day 1 release 😀 on a more serious note I've been heavily studying H v V last few weeks and I'm seeing the most insane bugs and damage dealt by lower level players than ever. I'm talking being 1 shot killed out of unrelenting advance by Yoda push out of everything. He was a level 4! But the craziest thing I saw was choking a Luke as Vader and being completely knocked out of the animation by a Hans detonate charge and killing me almost full health !!! Also another low level. Whatever DICE did that last patch they've completely screwed H v V up. As if it wasn't already ...

  • I’ve seen a lot of that too!!

    vader isn’t supposed to be susceptible to knock backs while in his choke ability but a low level Han can shoulder charge and knock him back; which is messed up!  

  • For everyone on this thread .. Here are some video clip examples

    In this video you can clearly see that Rey is within the AOE of Kylo's "freeze" ability and is NOT blocking. Rey should have been affected by freeze yet the game ignored it. Rey was striking with her saber when freeze was triggered; it's not even as if she was in the process of trying to block. This was 100% ignored. There's no stutter or glitching observed; the mechanic was simply ignored.

    In order to see my opponents player level I activated "frenzy" to try and grab some game points and allowed myself to be killed, rather than flee, so as to be able to see Rey's player level ... As it turns out, she was a level 19 and my Kylo a level 257 ... consistent with what I've been observing.

    Here's another example where Kylo's Pull ability was ignored. This clip was taken on Christmas eve, shortly after TROS update. In the clip you can clearly see that Annakin was within the AOE of Pull and the mechanics clearly ignored the ability. The ability wasn't countered, it was not refunded, NOR was Annakin blocking the ability.

    These aren't random observances they are consistent mechanics affecting higher level players making the gameplay way past poor!

  • I've had the same issues as this on the PS4. I think 10%-49% of the time is being very generous :L For me, most abilities bug out whenever they're used, regardless of the situation.

    I'd say Vader's choke and pretty much all of Anakin's abilities are the buggiest. Kylo Ren's pull has some of the worst lag I've ever seen in a game- a blaster hero can literally get off like 5 shots after the animation has finished :L Kylo's Frenzy just doesn't work 9/10 and when it does it will do one strike and then end. Yoda's block is almost non-existent- it's pot-luck as to whether or not the block is actually registered.

    The whole things is just a giant mess tbf :L DICE need to sort it out before adding more and more content and just making the problems worse.

    @BUSHIN8A_V2  Yeah with this new handicap that’s in place it’s making the mechanical interactions so against players with higher levels that’s it’s almost not worth playing. 

    They really need to fix that; hopefully with this update.
