Did you ever get this issue resolved? I'm in China playing on Xbox, but exactly the same issue - went through troubleshooting with EA, but nothing worked. Multiplayer will sometimes work, but then won't work again for days. I ran it through a VPN for a while, which solved the problem (but the lag was awful), so I was wondering whether it was an ISP problem in China?
