all pc lobbies have glitched time

started last night, noticing again this evening.

any in-play lobby i join shows over 200MINs and the counter jumps 2MINs like ever second.

when i started in a new lobby (i was first player) and it filled up, it started us on the ship.

are these hacker caused issues or some EA server issue?

  • clarification - galactic assault, age of republic.

also started kashyyyk from new lobby, it started game without ANY timer, instead it said eliminate any threats to the mtts,  spawned us and put border on the middle of the map which i've never seen before

  • It's been broke for years, good luck with them ever addressing that their game allows people to do such. Seems like a a 10 minute job to fix and boost their bottom line but why...

Very common issue on PC. It's been raised numerous times yet EA and their network tech team seem to be sitting on their hands.

100% right. They've probably opted to not fix it.

However, the cheek of them to add the game to sales promotions whilst not addressing age old network issues. The least they could have one is shutter the online aspect and confirm its being sold as a single player experience. This is why game sales on the whole are down. Players have negative experiences and cannot trust that publishers who continue to profit from older titles in their portfolio, will support the game with security features.

I can attest to this requiring a server side fix (anti cheat) and that a dedicated engineer and a junior could have investigated and resolved such issues within 2 weeks during a busy period, and a week during a slow one.

Highly likely not to permanently resolve the issue, but a major improvement in tracking could be implemented with tools they already have.

This is maybe something Steam and Epic Games stores could implement as policy. If publishers and developers chose to apply sales price points to older online enabled titles, you have to commit to supporting hotfixes to net code/ play to ensure the best experience possible for players. And a commitment to supporting for at least 1 year of additional support from the date of the promotion. 🤷‍♂️
