This is so true. I just want to be able to do some splitscreen offline mode of 'Instant Action' like from the original Pandemic Battlefront
Not spit screen ,.. give us proper lan capability .

Thanx for keeping this thread alive people. Let's keep it up!
As it is right now, my game is collecting dust until the December DLC with new Single Player in it. There is no point in me buying Hero's/Villains because I never get to play them in the multiplayer anyway because they get hogged up by the skilled players or I rarely get enough points to buy one. If DICE would just add the multiplayer to be played offline against bots then this would allow me to actually enjoy this game and play as Hero's/Villains without all the hassle. I could actually play the star-fighter section and not get killed continually by skilled players. I could get in vehicles and blow the heck out of bots for hours. So much fun to be had, but I can't, because DICE wont add it into their games....STILL.
All I do right now is log in to get the free crate, play one match of Galactic Assault, which is all I can stomach since it is not against bots, and then turn it off and go play another game.
That is my issue with forced multiplayer. For me, it is a skill gap. I am personally just not good in competitive modes, and frankly I do NOT enjoy them at all. I am not a competitive person. I can kick butt offline in co-op or in single player campaign, or in Horde type modes, I really do well in those modes. But not in Multiplayer. So, if DICE would just copy the entire multiplayer game and put it against bots then I would be playing this game for hours every single day and ENJOYING the game I paid 80 bucks for. Yes, I have said this in previous posts, but I want to reiterate how great this game could be if they just added this ONE thing.
Ohh, and still no one reply from a EA or DICE person on this issue, and issue that has been asked for time and time again. All they say is "If there is a demand for it we will think about it". Well news flash..THERE IS A DEMAND FOR IT. These forums prove that. This isn't the only thread asking for this.

These sneaky, addictive payment, subscription-type business practices have put me off EA for good. That means I'm not buying any more FIFA, Madden, Battlefield, and Battlefront. Honestly, I'm a huge Star Wars fan and have bought almost all Star Wars video games that have come out in the past. I will not be buying this one, and may not buy any going forward. This has been so disgusting, that I'm put off of Disney as well. I can't believe Disney endorses this kind of stuff. I really did not want this to happen, but I'm starting to associate Star Wars with greed, and its fans with cattle. Offline multiplayer could easily be a thing, but that would mean EA would miss out on a few dollars, as we're not dependent on Playstation Plus subscriptions anymore.
I really wish people could share the link to this thread on as many forums as possible.

@KulasDevorn if EA dont provide much in the way of single player you will be forced into multiplayer, if you are playing multiplayer then you need crates to compete, if you need crates you get as much as you need through normal play progession, thus you will need to pay cash. This is how the game is designed. Lets see if EA fix it. In the meantime @Jteems9387 this may be of interest to you:

@chinnyreckon : This thread is not about the microtransactions. I could care less about that because it frankly doesn't effect me. I don't use it.
I have played and don't buy any crates, at all. I have not used the credits you earn to buy one single crate. All I did was unlock Vader and Luke and Iden (which is a waste of time since I never get to use them unless I play Hero's VS Villains). That's it. I am setting on about 18000 credits right now and nothing I care to use them for, because I dislike the forced multiplayer and all the other things I Have mentioned in previous posts.
Everything I unlocked was through completing the different types of challenges and getting their rewards.
All I really care about is being able to ENJOY the game I paid for. That means the Single Player campaign and being able to play the ENTIRE multiplayer experience against BOTS, not playing against other people and all the problems that creates for me (aka never being able to be a Hero/Villain).
