i had this problem - on the pc - pressed F3 and found myself above ground again and back in the game and able to move towards the shuttle.
@rik270955 Excellent thank you pressing F3 worked at least I can continue game just a shame EA are uselss not only at helping correct their mess but developing games I really hate EA they are uselss.
