Battlefront 2 immediately crashes upon start-up

I have never played battlefront 2 on my PC, and I have wanted to try it out due to it gaining a lot of popularity recently. So, I installed battlefront 2, clicked play, the red EA loading bar popped up saying "launching game..." for about 3 seconds, then went away and the EA app refreshed itself without launching the game. Absolutely no error code popped up at all, and I have tried: 

  • countless reinstalls and repairs
  • reinstalling graphics drivers
  • reinstalling visual C++ within the games folders 
  • checking software and game updates (there were none available)
  • performing a clean boot and clearing cache
  • uninstall and reinstall the EA app

 Unfortunately, battlefront 2 still does not work and I was instructed  by EA help to post a discussion on here and I am actively trying to find a way to repair the game. I will attach a screen recording below showing my issue.

If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

    Hey there sithlolstar192​ 

    This thread has been quite inactive for a long period of time, 7 months since the last response.

    If you're still running into this issue and the marked solution doesn't help, my advice would be to create a new thread so this can be investigated and others can jump in to help out. Making a new thread will be more visible than necro posting an old thread.

    With that in mind I'm going to go ahead and close this thread off to prevent further necroposting.

    I've tried all of these and none have worked for me unfortunately😭, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

    The issue is still active, how has it been marked as solved, EA selling an itwm that does not work as intended.

    Hey there ​ 

    Sorry to hear you're having issues getting the game to launch and I appreciate you letting us know what steps you've tried as well as providing a video of what happens.

    Would you be able to give us a DxDiag so we can look into this a bit further and see if theres any other steps we can try to see if we can get to the bottom of this for you.

    Go into your wifi settings and manually change ur DNS to 1.1.1.1 and ur secondary DNS to 1.0.0.1

    Im having the exact same issue as you. Sorry I can't help, just commenting so if somebody finds something or knows how to fix this I can see it
