Battlefront 2 server lag (even is single player)
Battlefront 2 servers need urgent checkup.
I play on PC and the game has been running fine on ULTRA settings for months already but now I'm having random, intense lags.
Lagging starts a minute into a match and gets so bad the game kicks me from the match and I'm back in the menu.
This has happened now for around the tenth time between yesterday and today. The issue started about a day ago.
Why is this problem serious?
- THE SAME LAGGING HAPPENS IN SINGLE PLAYER MODES.
- I asked the lobby in HVV and 4 people already confirmed having the same experience, so this is most likely a wider, server side problem.
- Matches cannot be properly finished, as people just leave or are set back to the main menu out of their control.
What I have already done to troubleshoot:
- cleared EA app chache
- repaired BF2 in the app
- checked region settings. Mine was set to default (closest), I set it to Germany (equally close) but that didn't help (!)
- restarted PC multiple times
- checked internet connection (fine outside of game) (!)
- set BF2 as a high priority in task manager
- made sure no other program runs in the backgound
- installed anti cheat mod that protects against screenshot spammers (that can cause lag too apparently), I'm desperate at this point...
Ea, please check your servers. The game is unstable right now, barely playable at all. Thank you in advance.
