Battlefront II Change side??

When starting playing StarWars battelfront II one is asked to select side (good guys or bad guys). Is there any way to change that selection?

My boys got the game for christmas and we were not alert enough when they were to start the game - they selected different sides. I want them to play together. How to fix this?

    @codybruh88 No, just keep playing the campaign and follow the story. Without spoiling much, there are missions where you have the chance to play the light side and other characters from Star Wars.
