Battlefront II on Origin - ongoing constant crashes

consider yourself lucky because at least you get to play the damn game you spent 60$ or more on, every time I launch the game it launches loads half way and the game disappears and I'm back at the desktop. I think its on EA's end think they * up the patch they just released and a mix of the nividia update that just released. Two bad patchs and now I cant play this game and Star Citizen.

I assume you tried reinstalling the game? I have had the EXACT same problem for the past few days and have done everything short of a reinstall. If that doesn't work then they must have really screwed something up in one of the patches.

Is directx12 on in settings? If so, turn it off. It is known to not run well in this game, causing freezes and crashes.

Like I said I have tried all the published fixes but still no success.

I have just spent all day with the Support Help Desk and they have escalated the problem.........We'll see.

Just to add insult to injury. I have so far heard nothing back and subsequent to the latest 'Campaign' update today, I can hardly get the game to load at all. I can no longer set the display to 'Borderless' as the game crashes after making any video setting adjustments, and it continually freezes and crashes even if I can get it loaded.

THis happened to me, you'll have to go into Origin and hit the repair and it will verify your installed game files. Try this and see if it works.

Having the same issue. Vega 56 and Ryzen 1600x. Had occassional crash issues prior to new TLJ patch. However, now it crashes constantly. Game is now unplayable. 

Have uninstalled re-installed both Origin and game several times following all suggested fixes and to no avail. Repair carried out on numerous occasions has no effect. Nothing seems to work either with game settings or PC setup. I have tried it all. Strange thing is this is the only program that behaves this way. Everything else is just fine. What does that tell you? On top of that, with every update/patch it gets worse.

Now for all intents and purposes it is unplayable!

I too have had nothing but hair-pulling frustration with this game on my top-of-the line gaming computer.  It is clear to me that this game just doesn't work on PCs.  If  20,000 gamers using computers are ignored because 3,000,000 gamebox players are satisfied, then Origin's marketing plan is a success.  We are just the lonely out here and Origin isn't going to waste its time on us.  They can refund our money, but there will be others to take our place.  I was fortunate to purchase this game at a 30% discount, so I won't ask for a refund.  Instead when I have a spare 1 hour to play only 10 minutes of uninterrupted game time, I will.  It is a terrific game and Origin should be proud of their accomplishments.  I just don't want to play it on a gamebox.
