@soapy_catuses I have a feeling you'll get your wish. Content creators for Battlefield have been consistently preaching that the all out sandbox warfare of Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 needs to return. What we heard in the investor report about BF6 seems to indicate that's what will happen. They also mentioned more players and bigger maps than ever before.
DICE let it slip no doubt. Using a WW1 setting for BF1 minimized vehicle usage. They launched Battlefront 2 with only GA. Battlefield V totally wasted the vehicle potential of WW2. They opened the door for Warzone.
I took Battlefront 2's shift towards Conquest play to be a sign DICE as a studio might be shifting back to sandbox open warfare mentality.

Leaks have been reported that Battlefront 3 will include stuff like:
- Capital ships you can fly to, board, and destroy. Basically, it sounds like they might be doing a Battlefront version of Titan mode: Battlefield 2142 Titan Tutorial - YouTube
- There will be 24 v 24 modes and 50 v 50 modes
- IG-88 will be a hero
- 22 heroes at launch
- No Starfighter Assault since the main mode will include starfighters
- Vehicles will be on the maps.
- HvV will be an Overwatch style game mode
- Rathtar Hunt mode
- Content will be from the Skywalker saga timeline, obviously including Mandalorian and everything else between episodes 1-9. No High Republic or Old Republic.
- No private servers or server browser
- Progression system will be closer to Battlefront 2015 than Battlefront 2.
That's about all I can remember. But it sounds great overall.
