ok, after trying many, the solution that worked for me is the environment variables method https://old.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattlefront/comments/uxz3z9/my_battlefront_ii_will_literally_just_not_launch/
> search environment variables on windows search bar
> it will reach system properties then click on environment variables on the bottom
> delete GAME_DATA_DIR variable within user variables (mine was only listing for Dragon Age game, but I still deleted that one)
forum mods, please don't mark this as solved. This one is just a solution from many other issues. Just hoping it could save someone.
