    Hey @monkeybrain007ad

I'm sorry to hear about your problem. Unfortunately, you are correct about the South African servers not being heavily populated ☹️

Just to confirm - you can see in the game options that you're playing in a different region, but all the servers are still empty or it keeps switching to South African servers in settings?

There's a problem in trusting the location. Whenever you join a game and then go back to the menu, server location resets. If you search for a game but quits before joining, you supposedly stay in the same server option (it's the common procedure of the game as far as I can tell). What guarantees that the server you chose is the one you joined when the match starts? When you go back to the menu you'll see the default server, so it's impossible to track.

We usually track by ping and known players. To me the Brazilian server is the best, I play on about 10ms. When playing on Virginia, the second best, I play around 150ms, so the ping bars become visible. I've already felt being put in a server I didn't choose, be it choosing virginia and getting into an empty brazilian room (because no ping bars and then people who we know play on Brazil start popping into the room), or searching in lag-free Brazil and getting put either in Virginia (by the known players and ping bars) or even somewhere else, with ping bars and the connection message, and lots of players I've never seen. So to me it's very inconsistent. I believe the search engine tries first the server you chose, and then it hops around searching for a viable room somewhere else, but we can't be sure.

Yea I have, I have a friend who also plays in SA and he has the same problem. We joined a server after changing it in the menu and asked in chat if the other players were from SA and they were. So whats happening is it says its changed but when we join the server it's still South African. @EA_Ataashi

The troubleshooting has not worked, will this be resolved any time soon?

It's annoying, choosing your server region sends you to empty servers, then if you switch to another, it gets back to yours after the match.

Troubleshooting will not work, its the game problem not ours, i have the same issue. Tried restarting modem, opening ports, checking game files, switching regions and still the same. :/

  • SImilar issue for which troubkeshooting didn’t work. I use Singapore ping site which is the lowest and I didn’t have any problems joining games before the patch. Now it seems to make me join extremely laggy servers by connecting to UK, US, Germany servers which is ridiculous. I change it back manually but it goes back to the high ping sites.

Can we be provided with a website where the stats of all populated servers are displayed? As it stands there are plenty of unpopulated servers all across the globe. So instead of shooting in the dark by trying servers one by one, we can actually see which servers have players (and in which game mode) and join accordingly. This would save us a huge amount of time and hassle!
