Can't find players/lobbies always empty Star wars Battlefront 2

Guys, I hope I found the solution to this problem. I went to settings in the game where it says EA account (through the game) I noticed that my region showed South Africa when it used to be Oregon US. So I changed it back to Oregon and voila! Now I’m able to play multiplayer. I hope this can help you guys. So go to EA account through the game. Change the region to the region that has the shortest ping for you in milliseconds. Save it (I can’t remember if I it automatically does it for you)  and hopefully this fixes the problem to find games in multiplayer. Thanks!

 HI, did you find a solution to the empty lobby issue? I’m in Melbourne and I haven’t been able to get on a game for a week. Internet is 40mbps down 1.6up  ping site Sydney ? I am so frustrated with this issue. Let me know if you have a solution. I haven’t seen one in the forums.  

I don’t think it has nothing to do with your internet speed but if you go to options-ea account-region and add the region with the smallest ping in milliseconds that would do the trick my friend 

Really? Where are you located and which region did you set it up to? 

Sorry I just read your previous posts. You should be able to save it in Sidney, I think you mentioned. Why don’t you do also the press the power button on your XBOX for 10 seconds even after it’s turned off to refreshen it’s memory. 

This is *. I keep getting dumped into empty servers and this is a problem that has been reported on over and over by the gamers now. EA is not prioritizing actual ability to play their * game. I haven't been able to play the game that I paid cash money for in over a week. Not any mode or anything. Fix this EA. You are failing.

So in an attempt to get a group of Australian players together I've friended all those who have said they are attempting to connect to Sydney server (hence all the friend requests). So that makes 16 potential players. Probably not going to work as everyone would need to be online and it looks like forum friends != battlefront II friends. Add your tag to the list if you want to try and get a group together to try and fill a lobby.

Aussie player here, looking to get back into it. Haven't played in a few months, came back to try and get my flatmate to join the game but couldn't because we find matchmaking completely borked. -1 Sale. 

EDIT: I have literally spent hours staring at loading screens and empty lobbies. I have tried every "fix" I could find around the web, no luck. I am utterly astonished at how widespread this issue seems to be, and for how long it has been going on. SWBF2 is the PREMIUM and ONLY current Star Wars franchise game at the moment, and it is just being driven into the ground by incompetent management. I genuinely hope that EA lose the franchise over this Day 1 mess.
