I purchased the celebration edition upgrade today on Xbox One.My son went to play battlefront 2 on his account but the celebration content wasn't it available on his account. We try to reinstall the Celebration upgrade on his account - it was available to download & install, but there was no modification to the game - no additional items, etc. on his account. Do we need to re-buy the game so he has access to the celebration Edition content on his account?

I think that is absolutely ridiculous. Any other game that I have allows me to share add ons I have bought with my kids x box. I will not buy this a second time nor will i be purchasing any more EA games until this issue has been fixed. I do find this very unfortunate though because this was one of mine and the kids favorite games and we were all very excited for this package to play each other with some really cool content. Very dissapointed EA

@EA_Atic First I had difficulty purchasing the game through my son's XBOX One Account, even after I purchased $25 extra dollars in a gift card on his account. So, I searched to see where the Celebration expansion pack might say that it was only for one account, and did not find any language stating that anywhere in your documentation. So, I logged in as myself and purchased the expansion. It registers as "installed" on both my son's login and mine on the XBOX. But, I don't see the content in my game or in his either. Both of us only play "offline." The update downloaded very fast. Too fast. Is there more content that loads when you sign in online? In any case, if I'm reading this thread properly, you're saying that the best I could hope for would be to only have it work on my account. That is not what I paid for. Nor do I think that is an acceptable answer. Please escalate this to someone who can give us an answer or a refund.

I have this same problem. All of the Celebrations content is still locked after buying the upgrade. It works on my account on Xbox but not on my son’s account on same Xbox. When we access the upgrade through the store it tells him that it has been purchased and he can use the content. @EA_Atic

Unfortunately, the Celebration Edition content is ONLY accessible when playing online multiplayer via the Origin/EA servers. EA, has failed to mention this little fact.
So, if you are playing SWBF2 offline, and/or do NOT have the XBOX Live/PlayStation Plus subscriptions to even remotely play the online modes, then the Celebration Edition is useless...even with a standard Internet connection.
All of the Celebration Edition's advertised content is NOT unlockable and/or accessible for offline modes. So, there is no (unlocked) skins, emotes, celebrations, additional modes, and/or additional maps (that came with this DLC) unless you play online modes ONLY.
It's unfortunate, and was poorly advertised without stating the exemption for offline modes.
