Constant lag spikes/freezing (60-0 FPS) making the game unplayable. Please help
Specs: 1050 2GB, i5 7300HQ, 8GB RAM
I've tinkered with:
NVIDIA control panel (Both global and game specific settings)
Windows "Game Mode" settings
Setting the game to admin and disableing fullscreen optimizations
Various ingame settings (resolution, graphical settings)
Debloated the whole system, almost nothing runs on startup except MSI Afterburner and Riva Tuner Statistics.
Almost no windows related processes run in the background (from the useless ones at least)
Tried playing the game without anything but origin and the game itself running (Which worked and I played a lot of HvV and CO-OP without many problems but after prolonged play/ joining a GA game it becomes unplayable again)
Running latest drivers on video card
Discord and Origin overlays are always off
Vsync On and Off - always fluctuates. Sometimes with Vsync it stabilizes the game and sometimes it's the complete opposite.
Tried a lot of ingame console commands, mainly "WorldRender.LightTileCSPath 0" which disables ingame lighting and even that doesn't do the trick
As far as my understanding goes, I think my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU. BF 2015 used to push my CPU and GPU to about 80 ° C (80 ° C for a laptop especially gaming is normal) and the game ran perfectly. BF 2017 has my GPU at ~65 ° C while my CPU is at about ~70° C. I don't know if that is the case but any help would be much appreciated.
At this point I don't know what to do..
- @rkjkr ah, turns out it was DirectX 12, at least for now changing to DX11 fixed it and I run 90FPS
