Controller issue: buttons on joystick recognised as XBOX controller buttons

Product: Star Wars Battlefront II
Platform:PC
What is your issue related to? General
Summarize your bug Specific buttons on my T-16000M Joystick (button 1 (the 'fire' button) in particular) is recognised by the game as the button on an XBOX controller to look behind you in starfighter combat. Why is this a problem? I'm using a program called JoyToKey to make my joystick work in starfighter combat. The basic flight controls work, except for the fact that some buttons are registered as XBOX buttons in addition to the keybind I want to give them. When I push button 1 on my joystick I now fire my weapons and look behind me at the same time. I think you can see the problem here. It's bad enough that joystick support is not part of a game that features starfighter conbat so heavily, so I'd greatly appriciate it if you can add an option to the game that allows me to disable XBOX controller detection. Or make it so part of my joystick isn't detected as an XBOX controller. Or add joystick support, but that might be wishful thinking at this point.
What is your gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name? LeCthulhu
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Can you tell us the date (MM/DD/YYYY) that you saw the bug? 12/22/2017
What time did you see the bug? (HH:MM AM/PM) All the time
In what game mode did the bug occur? Campaign
What is your time zone? ECT - GMT + 1:00
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Connect a T-16000M joystick, get into a starfighter and push button 1
What happens when the bug occurs? The button will be recognised as the XBOX controller button used to look behind you in starfighter combat; you will look behind you
What do you expect to see? That nothing happens. I'm not using an XBOX controller, I'm using a joystick
Please select your region Europe
AMD or Nvidia Model Number Not relevant, this is a controller issue.

  •  am all of  a sudden having issues with my MS Sidewinder controller, I push forward on the controller, character moves backwards, push down on the controller, and the character moves forwards.. it worked fine when I first purchased the game, now its FUBAR.. I was born with only 2 fingers and a thumb on my lerft hand, so controller support is a must, I also use Joy2Key... seems everything EA touches goes belly up, just like all the studios they buy out..
