As the latest patch notes mention, we moved the appearance bundles to the Collection screen. Crystal prices have been reduced and Credit prices have been removed 🙂
So now you can see something like this next to certain appearances. Previously you could find them in the "Unopened crates" tab.
Those are not crates with random content, you know what you are getting from them.

Making the bundles paid-only is a repulsive move and a step in the worst direction.
First of all, I'm fully aware of the recent changes to the skin bundles, and my question wasn't about them.
I'm talking about emotes, victory poses and skins which are still tagged as "common", "rare", "epic" and "legendary". Besides, emotes and victory poses feature the phrase "can be found in crates" above the prices.
If this is just a leftover from the old loot box system, then why hasn't it been removed yet? Otherwise, that line "can be found in crates" smells like false advertising.
@felker_s I don’t think it is a step in the wrong direction. They have to get earnings from the game somehow otherwise they won’t be able to keep it up. I mean you could pick up the game for like 10 bucks, they already giving away the game pretty cheap. By enabling cosmetic lootboxes they get revenue and you don’t have to spend money cuz its not gamechanging, It’s just a pack of 4 uniforms.
Oh please. You could already pay for the skins with real money. Taking away my ability to earn it for free will not make me buy it, it'll make me angry and I won't even consider it.
If they want me to pay extra, then keep new outfits coming. After we got the current ones (which were in the game already at launch, if I might add), no other fraction outside the Republic got any updates to skins at all.
And what about heroes? Luke, arguably one of the most influential character with tons of different appearances in the movies, has one lousy extra skin.
If this is what they want money from, shouldn't they put much more effort into it? Instead of scheming with "cheaper" crystal prices on bundles, with no alternative, and punishing "f2p players" (we bought the full game, you know) by showing it in their faces saying it is "half the price".
It is ridiculous anyway. 500 crystals for one clone appearance? Isn't that like 5€? Who the hell would buy that, instead of playing for 2-3 days? Even the 10€ bundle is a joke for 4 appearances.
You would think that a company only interested in money would have better practices to get said money.
@felker_s Tbh I know very little about the new microtransaction system in the game. I thought that, correct me if I’m wrong, the skins would still be available for credits, only if you want the full bundle you have to use credits. This wouldn’t bother me since I could buy the skins with my earned credits.
If the all clone trooper skins are only available if you put money in to the game then I fully agree with you.
And I totally agree that there have to be more skins in the game. There are almost no skins for luke while the community has suggest a lot of cool ones.
@rockstar_autopsy Yea I think this is from the old lootbox system as you can’t get them by lootboxes.

@rockstar_autopsy I'm sorry for initially misunderstanding your question 😞
I let the developers know about the "available in crates" annotation in some victory poses and voice lines descriptions. They will look into this. The cosmetics rarity system will stay for now, as far as I am aware.
@felker_s Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the bundles can only be purchased with Crystals, but keep in mind that all the appearances from them can be unlocked separately with Credits as well.

I know very well that they are available separately. But up until now, it cost you 60,000 credits to get the full Legion, which is quite a sum in itself for the average player. Now that increased even further to 80,000 (to get all of them separately), if you don't want to pay extra.
It's not even about "bringing in paid bundles", that is not what happened. It's about "taking away something that we already had for free". I know this is a minor thing for many people, but you need to see how unfair it is actually, from more than one angle.
I mean I've already purchased 2-3 bundles with credits, long after I've levelled up every trooper and hero (when I started playing, you needed credits for that), and long after I've bought my favourite appearances for the heroes and rebels - I didn't need the credits for anything else. I just thought, oh okay, they look kinda cool, and I have the credits.
But imagine a beginner player - nothing is unlocked, and the better offer is locked behind a payment wall - one which was nonexistent for us. This is just a step towards exploiting us.
Also, I'm sure that many people sitting with 58,000 credits on Tuesday got pretty upset the day after. You can't just suddenly make "paid content" out of something that existed for months as a regular store item.
i completely agree with u. It's not fair for me as i was about to buy star wars battlefront 2, excited to buy the 104th skin bundle, only to realize they cost money. My dad won't buy me the bundle.
