I've been able to finish the first single player campaign and started on Resurrection. Seems to be working fine now. I'll update if I run into this issue again.

I have this same bug:
I had no luck with the clean install/Conflicting files (non found), everything was as it should be.(Also I do not use surge protectors and power supply is bang on I know this as I'm a Veteran Military sparky/engineer)
So let's kick off your questions for more details for you buddy.
(If anyone else is experiencing the same problem for the last mission Hard crash at the start of the last mission or on its loading screen, enter your answers)

A1 - XB1 Day One, XB1-S, XB1-X Scorpio.
A2 - Hard Crash Freezes and Powers Off XB1 during first loading screen into the beginning of the mission.
A3 - Tried play through mission before and the one before that on different difficulties , only once did I get into the last mission (but I got into mission for 10 seconds then crashed)
A4 - Internal. (Have tried different install discs)
A5 - External 500GB Seagate
A6 - Yes
