Same issue here, randomly crashes to desktop without error message. Check in the documents folder for BF2 and it has the 0xC0000005 error mini-dump. The game is another junk product of EA/DICE.
New night and more crashes! Woot! This game is so much fun. Thanks again EA for giving us a stable game. Well worth the money!

Well another great night of gaming with Origin and EA! Man am I satisfied. At least I got 54 straight minutes of game play. Hey EA, that is pretty, pretty, prettyyyyyyy, good.

For me, the crash seems to be related to changing in-game settings. After I change in-game settings, the game crashes a couple of times and then doesn't seem to crash again until I change settings again...
Did I find a fix?!!! I was watching a Twitch stream and someone suggested going into EA Accounts in game. Go to share usage data and turn OFF. So far I've gone 2 whole hrs with out crashing! WOW! Try it out.

Thanks for the suggestion - sadly hasn't worked for me! CTD as soon as I loaded next map on Starfighter Assault.
So frustrating. Come on EA - get your act together.
