  • They realy fixed this gun attachment. You can learn tot play with this version or play a different way. Stop making the devs changes every thing we don't like. Only the real bugs are important. Look at the walk speed of blaster Heroes or Maul's Saber trow.

I agree that the patch notes could have been much clearer about the fix, but @0-lA-v-Rl-0 is right in the fact that they fixed a heat/cooling bug with the DC LE15 (and all the other weapons) and it now works as intended (except for the visual glitch you encountered).

The explosive shot was (before the previous patch) a trade off of power for heat.  It was much more powerful, but caused your weapon to overheat much faster so you could not continuously fire it.  That was the intended use.  The previous patch introduced a bug that made all of the different heat build up from mods/alternate fire (like the explosive shot) and all cooling mods non-functional so every weapon with every mod had the same heat buildup/dissipation as the standard weapon without mods.  This was never intended.

The current patch has made the weapon function as intended (as it had before the previous patch).

  • Then I'm afraid that you're also incorrect as you did not clearly read my bug report. This isn't about the heat buildup and cooling. I'm fine with that change and they put that in the patch notes. This is about the sustained fire rate animation and invisible animation for the exploding shot attachment of the DC LE15, not how much time it takes for the weapon to build heat. Has nothing to do with cooling flushes. The DC LE15 no longer has sustained fire for exploding shot and I will be posting a video of this later on. It fires at a slower rate. Therefore, I have enough reason to believe this is another glitch that came with patch 1.08 just like Darth Vader gets stuck in his punishing grip animation. Exploding shot isn't working as intended and I'll leave it to the devs to investigate and determine if it's a bug or working as intended, thanks.

My bad.  I misunderstood what you meant.

It is very well possible that it is another issue introduced in a patch.  I can't remember a game recently where patches break stuff about as much as they fix stuff.  Talk about 2 steps forward, 1 step back...

I went back and looked and it seems that this is now back to where it was before the bug with cooling/heat buildup (update 1.2).  The explosive shot did not have the crazy rate of fire back then (as intended), so this looks like it is fixed.

  • Another game where patches break stuff more than they fix them is Dark Age of Camelot. That's another EA game, but Broadsword entertainment takes care of the patches and new content now.

I really thought that the patch completely broke the weapon, but I dug around and found and old video from 2017 which is closer to when Battlefront was first introduced. It looks like the exploding shot attachment did lower the fire rate of the weapon. That's really a shame though because I was having a lot of fun with the DC LE15. I could literally melt heroes like Palpatine on it. I can still get kills on it, but it's not nearly as reliable as pre 1.08. Players were already going with improved zoom for the DC LE15 instead. I guess I'll have to retire the weapon and go with the TL-50 or Default blasters. However, it still has an animation bug where the laser bolts for exploding shot are sometimes invisible.

Animation aside, this is what I meant. Didn't want to insult You, but i hoped u understood. Sorry for bad Englisch, not my native language.

It is strange that there are so many bugs when they try fix stuff.

Please post a video of the invisible animation as that would be a bug. But sustained fire as you mentioned is actually a fix. Also, do not call people names on the forums, I have removed that reply from this thread, no more of those insults please.

  • You removed my reply for calling someone a name, but that was in response for to the other user trolling and telling me to L2P with the fixed gun attachment. That was pretty insulting, so if you're going to remove my reply then be fair and remove his too. Also, I already told you I'd post a video of the animation bug. I will do that as soon as I have a spare moment, not when you demand it.

  • @0-lA-v-Rl-0

Yeah, no worries. I understood what you meant and you didn't insult me. You have better etiquette than other users and I think you speak English fairly well for a second language.
