Yes I have the same issue seems to have been updated so that the crate only becomes availible once you have played a game. Probably intentional by EA to stop people just logging in to claim the daily crate reward then logging out.

Got this issue for 2 months now.
There is a quick solution for it.
Start a multiplayer game and at the moment the game is starting quit the game.
Now you can open the daily crate without restarting the game.

This is a known issue and something we are investigating, with no ETA for the moment.
The workaround for this is to restart the game or play a round of any multiplayer game and you will have daily crate there.
