Same issue, with the face palm emote. I wasnt sure if it was from this or from running out of credit rewards for the day on arcade so glad to know the cause. It is super annoying whatever the cause, hopefully fixed soon.
Same issue on Xbox One. Mine seems to be connected to the "I give up" emote. Whenever I return to the menus, a notification in the top right corner of the screen says it's been unlocked, followed a few seconds later by this error message popping up.
