That's the thing, I never did lose connection to the internet, this same thing happened after the first Solo update until they patched it after the first weekend it was out. The PS4 is hard wired to a cable modem and stayed logged in along with the wifi device I used to report it immediately after it happened. I realize that is typically what this error message signifies but it's just randomly kicking people from games as its happened to friends as well but only since the last update but I appreciate your feedback.

Same happening to me nearly every day(last time July,25th 2018 @ 00:38 CEST). Kicked middle in the star fighter assault match with nonsense error code 209. All earned rewards including class level ups are lost.Connection to ISP is undisturbed as well as connection to PSN and PS4 is connected via LAN cable. Could instantly join another match.

This is the only game that it happens on, I realize what the error is supposed to represent, I'm suggesting that because it happens to so many people it might be inadvertantly pointing to another problem that it's not intended to point out as it coincides with the last update and started on the update before

Omg, the day the first solo patch came out it was the error code that was disconnecting everyone to the point it was unplayable. It was so bad they had to issue a fix within days because the game didn't work. Then they issued the second half of Solo and it has been back ever since. I would agree with you were it not for that and the fact it generally happens at any point when you are between matches sometimes immediately after the match, last night just sitting when the timer is going. I have a direct ethernet connection to a cable modem and have never experienced this problem with any game since the PS4 was released (so like 5 years). You have to realize that out of all the errors probably 10 to 20% actually get reported as many rarely use forums they just play through it thinking someone else will report it and the bug reporting for EA requires a lot more user info than most. Out of the 12 people I play with it happens randomly all the time to all of them as well and I'm the only one that reports it and all the same story on when it started. The simplest explanation is usually the correct one. Take it or leave it, ignore it and watch the game go more stagnant I'm just letting them know there is a problem as I like this game and want it to succeed but for multiple reasons that is an uphill battle for this title as it stands now.

I was kicked out in the middle of a galactic assault and 2 hvv matches tonight then got this code. Also hardwired and never lost connection. I just solved the ping site issue only to have this ruin 3 rate competitive matches which is the only reason I’m upset enough to post about it lol.

Just saying, never happened to me that's all. Hope you get a resolve to this issue.
Unlikely though, fixes to problems on this title are few and far between, and communication from EA is standardized and unhelpful.
They were getting better for a short while but that went out the window pretty quickly.

Same issue here. Didn't get disconnected randomly before the July update. Ps4 is hard wired to modem.

It is still happening and I've noticed that it seems to happen only when moving one planetary map to the next. When it's switching planets for a second it says disconnecting from server then on to next map. Everyone goes in to next map and as soon as it starts you take 2 steps then loading screen then 209 message. It seems to be disconnecting then reconnecting each player to the new map. It kicked all four of us in 2 separate groups at the same time the last time it happened. It may be kicking whole servers, I noticed when we all went to new galactic assault map several others from previous map also joined as we did on a new galactic assault map.

Happened to me today, as of 23:06 UK time and a lobby before (unsure of the exact time. Would assume 22:30 - 22:45). It's been running fine with no errors nor lag, and only started occurring in the past hour. My rig is more than compatible and internet hasn't cut off or buffered at all. Like Aldric stated in his / her original post, it only happens on this game.
