The traps seem to be activated by trip wires that if you spot you can just jump over. Its true you can stay outside you are faster than the Ewoks so you can just keep moving and out run them for the most part but not when your entire team of troopers are now Ewoks to. I'm not sure what ridiculously poor team of Ewoks this guy has played against but your not getting near the transport on your own if the Ewoks are actually taking part in the game, run around all you like. Also I'm not sure that we are playing the same game if you think the cave camping is a disadvantage it actually makes the game boring is how easy it is when you have a team of cave campers. That takes the fun out of the game and for me that's the point. Staying outside with the Ewoks even ones that know what they are doing makes the game more interesting but it's unlikely that enough of your team will survive for you to be able to make it to the transport that's swimming in whisties. I don't think anyone here is playing the victim, I personally think it's too easy as a trooper and likewise I don't think @felker_s could be accused of similar as they are quite correct in their assessment of the the Ewoks significant advantage in the forest when in groups. Yes you can easily survive on your own but you have no chance of making it to the transport unless enough of your team have done likewise and there are at least a few of you so one makes it.
