Fighting with a staff has nothing to do with fighting with a saber not to mention a lightsaber. Finn as a stormtrooper had more reason to have some knowledge with it than Rey. They could have been easily trained in various weapons.
Luke never used his lightsaber without training, and he was already a good pilot when he shot the missile in the reactor shaft. While Rey used a mind trick after a few hours later she was told the Force is real. Ridiculous. And we also know from GL's six films using the Force passively (what Luke did when he destroyed the first DS) comes natural while actively must be trained. Anakin was the same and he was the chosen one. Expect you are Rey Namestealer. Who btw also can speak wookie for some reason and can swim too, though she was raised in the desert.
IF Luke was a mary shue like Rey he would have beaten Vader on the first death star. But no he got his a** handed to him even in Cloud City.
And you are also mistaken about Luke's development. He went from a vengeful, fearful farm boy to a Jedi who rather unarmed himself before the most evil being in the galaxy than succumb to the dark side.
You know what? I’ll stop arguing. This is Star Wars, and logic doesn’t really apply.

But I do stand by my top 3 at the start of this.@Commander_Ney0Still fantasy worlds should follow their own rules, or it becomes just some hot mess. It is really sad imo how nowadays not many people cares if that character development or plot makes sense. They only notice if it hits them in the head very strongly (like with GoT season 8, well that show had gone downhill after season 4 what people expected?). And some even ignore that. But hey it is easier for the writers.

They have apparently used a lot of stuff from the EU, so maybe we can guess who got laid with Palps if we look at which female was involved with his cloning project. Or related in any way with that.
