Getting kicked to menus

Hello there,

So I have a technical question that I am hoping to get some help with. Essentially, a friend is having problems with the game in that he is regularly kicked to the menus during matches.
This mostly occurs during HVV but can occur during other modes as well. The internet connection seems to be fine (speed and ping tests show no issue); setting the game server to the closest to his location hasn't made a difference. He uses a physical internet connection so no drop out due to wireless. He plays the game on PC.

Any ideas ?
