EA seems reluctant to spend a cent, let alone a few hours of an engineer's time, to keep the game running.

I sometimes wonder if publishers/developers sell map packs for $15 a pop like in the good old days if they'd have a more successful live service. I'd probably buy map packs if it meant everything else was progression-based.

People also should use their voice at the wright places. We’ve seen companies remove things like micro transactions . 
But you’re right, the focus of EA seems to be on the shareholders.
