How can I not suck at this game?

Serious question: how do I get better at this game so that I don't suck all the time?

When I get the drop on another player, he turns around and kills me. I respawn at a spawn point and I get one-shotted. Half the time I can't find who is shooting at me, nor can I find anyone to shoot at, but opposing players see me all the time. I can run and dodge, but I always get taken out. I getting sick and tired dying all the time.

I'm only looking for helpful advice. I've asked several players in the past about how to get better and all I get are * comments like "don't die." Constructive comments only please. Thank you.

    He probably meant that he reached like level 70+ And unlocked most of the weapons/attachments

    @soapy_catuses Yes, I've skilled up to where all cards for Specialist and assault are fully upgraded, and I've unlocked all weapons.

    The reason I skilled up in Assault is because the NT-242 or other sniper weapons are of course not suited for close quarters.

    Remember this game is a paradox, the 'great' players get op kit to kill with far fewer hits, or even one, which is strange considering they are supposed to be great. You can beat players in gunfights and they still get the kill. Load-outs change everything too.

    Also online gaming servers (EA especially), people who do nothing but play the same game every day for years...

    @Zamzaman I totally notice this a lot. The one-hit-kills bug the life out of me. Players who remain on one bar of energy whilst you hit the crap out of them and do not die. Also the way I cannot attack if being attacked, but they can carry on shooting when I am spamming with lightsaber...
